| PRELAC is a clear solution of a special protective resin in quick drying solvent. It is applied on the circuit board immediately after cleaning to protect the copper against oxidation and contaminants . It can be applied on printed circuit boards by spraying or brushing. This lacquer is compatible with all rosin base fluxes and hence need not be removed prior to soldering. It forms a clear, thin, non-porous film on the surface. This layer is resistant to hydrolysis and impervious to water vapour. The lacquer assists the action of the soldering flux. |
